What are the mediums you create in?

- paper, paint, ink, found objects, words, sound

What do you say when people ask you what you do?

- I make art and music, DJ, and teach yoga

What are some words that come to mind when you think about your creative style?

- playful, vibrant, rhythmic, curated, earnest

What are you currently working on?

- I am working on a series that features hand-drawn rows of silhouetted figures that are somewhere between human, creature, and deity, and unbound by gender or species. These are entities in process, dreamlike beings with an earthly purpose.

What is a piece of advice around creative work that you call to mind often?

- Consistent practice is key. Don't be afraid to get messy. Seek flow state. Trust yourself.

How long have you been working with Melissa?

- for over a year

What did you come to coaching for?

- clarity, accountability, dialogue

What are some ways that coaching has impacted you? 

- Coaching has helped me focus, boosted my confidence, and helped reawaken and nurture my ambition.

What are some ‘wins’ that you would attribute to being supported by Melissa?

- I understand my work better, am able to speak about it more effectively, and have developed the courage to pursue larger opportunities. She has given me a foundation for leveling up.

What are you currently learning about yourself?

- how to use vulnerability to my advantage.

What advice would you give to others who are considering working with a creative coach?

- It is 100% worth it to invest in yourself and focus your efforts. Come in with a specific intention but be willing to let it evolve as the process unfolds.

Is there anything else you want to share? 

- Melissa has a natural gift for this work and really understands how to engage with the unique needs and nontraditional methods of creatives. I feel lucky to have found her!
