I’m Melissa, the creator of Coherence Studio.
I am a coach for self-employed, multi-talented creatives who are ready to launch or level up their business even if they feel scared to bet on themselves and put themselves out there for others to see.
I am a creative partner to those who cannot help but create and make, who cannot help but dream big, who just need a bit of clarity and accountability to see themselves through.
I help you take control of your narrative and messaging, offers and pricing, content and outreach strategy - everything you need for a business that is not only sustainable and successful but is undeniably you.
it was a journey to get here.
My career has been one big pendulum ride — swinging back and forth between security/structure and adventure/freedom. In the midst of the security seeking, I held down mission-minded 9-5 jobs supporting awesome creative communities like: the DJs and podcasters of SoundCloud, the inventors and project launchers of Kickstarter, the organizers and builders of Nextdoor.
In the midst of the adventure seeking, I launched my own projects and ventures like: New Women Space, an event space for women and gender non-conforming gatherers; Hustle Fest, a summit series for full-time professions to grow their confidence to go freelance; and Co:Lab, accountability and support groups for women launching creative careers.
Now, I am a coach for creatives with entrepreneurial aspirations. My practice integrates my own startup experience, UX and human centered design learnings, and over a decade of supporting ambitious creatives and artists to bring ideas into fruition.
